Kitchen Snapshot Audit

You’re trying to eat well. But it’s surprisingly hard to know whether the foods you buy week after week are really supporting your health - and which small changes would make the biggest difference.Send me photos of your fridge, freezer and cupboards. I’ll review what’s actually there and send you a clear, practical written audit showing what to keep, what to swap, and what to buy on your next shop.

Healthy eating shouldn’t require detective work

Most people who are trying to eat well aren’t filling their kitchens with obviously unhealthy food. The uncertainty lies in dozens of ordinary choices: whether the foods you buy regularly are genuinely supporting your health, whether important gaps have crept in, and which changes would make the greatest difference over time.Trying to investigate everything yourself rarely settles the question. Nutrition advice is often contradictory, labels tell only part of the story, and a food that seems reasonable on its own may look rather different in the context of everything else you eat. That can leave you with a kitchen that seems broadly healthy, but a nagging sense that you may be overlooking something. Is the overall balance right? Are a few regular choices working against you? And are you worrying about things that barely matter while missing the changes most likely to help you age well?A Kitchen Snapshot Audit gives you an expert second opinion on the foods you actually keep at home. I’ll show you what’s already working, where the weak spots or gaps are, and which practical changes will give you greater confidence that your everyday diet is supporting your chances of a long and healthy life.

A kitchen cabinet filled with food

I’m Ben Jones, MD PhD - the doctor and medical writer behind One Health Tweak a WeekEach week, I write about small, evidence-based changes that can make healthy living easier. The Kitchen Snapshot Audit is the more personal version: I look at the foods you actually keep at home and help you find the most useful swaps for your next shop.

WHAT IT IS

A practical review of your home kitchen

This is an expert review of what you actually keep at home - your fridge, freezer, cupboards, snack shelf, breakfast corner, the lot.I’ll assess how those choices fit together: the overall balance, anything important that may be missing, and the everyday foods that deserve a closer look.

WHAT YOU RECEIVE

Clear answers - and a practical plan

You’ll get a personalised written report setting out what’s already working, the changes most worth making, and which ones to tackle first.I’ll explain the reasoning in plain English, recommend realistic alternatives, and give you a practical next-shop list - so you can act straight away and feel more confident that your everyday diet is supporting your long-term health.

A Kitchen Snapshot Audit report sits on a kitchen counter next to a mug of coffee.

HOW IT WORKS

Send photos. Get a practical plan.

After you book, you’ll receive a short intake form and photo instructions. You’ll upload clear photos of the foods you’d like me to review - usually your fridge, freezer and a couple of cupboards.I’ll review what’s there, look for the most useful opportunities, and send back your written audit within 5 working days of receiving everything I need.No meal logging, no food diary, and no special preparation. Just take a few clear photos of what’s already there and send them in.

WHO IT’S FOR

People who want healthier choices to feel easier

This is for people who are generally trying to eat well, but know their fridge, freezer or cupboards could be working harder for them. It’s especially useful if you want clearer grocery store choices, better everyday swaps, and a kitchen that makes healthy eating a bit less dependent on motivation.

WHO IT’S NOT FOR

Specialist medical diets or urgent health problems

This is educational guidance, not medical advice. It isn’t the right format for managing complex dietary needs, prescribed diets, eating disorder recovery, severe food allergies, advanced kidney disease, or urgent symptoms. If your diet needs close clinical supervision, please talk to your own clinician or dietitian.

INTRODUCTORY AUDIT PRICE

Get the full audit for $149

I’m opening a small first round of Kitchen Snapshot Audits at a lower introductory price while I refine the report format and photo-submission process. You’ll get the full audit: photo review, a personalised written report, practical swap suggestions, and a next-shop list. The aim is not to make your kitchen perfect. It’s to replace uncertainty with a clear, manageable set of priorities, and give you more confidence that your diet is supporting your long-term health.Because this is the first release, I’m limiting the number available while I learn from real submissions and tighten the process. Once that’s done, I expect the price to increase.By placing your order, you expressly request that work begins as soon as your questionnaire and photographs are received, and acknowledge the cancellation terms below. After checkout, you’ll receive the intake form and photo instructions by email.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION

A few practical details

What photos do I need to send?
After booking, you’ll receive simple photo instructions. In short: send clear photos of the foods you’d like me to review - usually your fridge, freezer and cupboards. No special preparation needed.
Please don’t include medications, addresses, documents, or anything identifying in your photos. I’ll only use the photos to complete your audit. How long does it take?
I’ll send your written audit within 5 working days of receiving your intake form and photos.
Is this a diet plan?
No. This is a practical review of the foods you already keep at home, with suggestions for what to keep, what to swap, and what to buy next.
What if I have medical dietary needs?
This is educational guidance, not medical care. If you have a condition that needs a prescribed or closely supervised diet, this probably isn’t the right format.
If you’re unsure whether your situation fits this format, email me at [email protected] before booking and I’ll tell you honestly.
What happens after I buy?
You’ll receive the intake form and photo instructions. Once you send everything in, I’ll review your kitchen photos and send back your written audit.
What is your cancellation policy?
You may cancel within 14 days of purchase by emailing [email protected]. Because this audit is normally completed within that period, by ordering you expressly ask me to begin work as soon as I receive your completed questionnaire and photographs. If you cancel after work has begun, any refund may be reduced to reflect the work already completed. Once your personalised report has been completed and delivered, your right to cancel ends. This doesn’t affect your statutory rights.
